Practical Summary For Taking Part In The Tournament
To participate in the tournament, participants must register on the OJPC.eu platform, enter their details and choose one of the available start sessions:
- Saturday at 16:00;
- Saturday at 21:00;
- Sunday at 16:00.
Registration is confirmed by purchasing the puzzle. The payment is non-refundable because, after purchase, the puzzle is shipped to the participant.
There are two participation modes: offline and online.
Offline Mode
The participant completes the puzzle from home without a video connection.
Before the start, during the YouTube live stream, the competition code for the participant’s start session is announced. The participant must enter it on the label received with the puzzle.
Before opening the box, the participant must photograph the still-sealed puzzle with the code visible and publish the photo in the Telegram group “Puzzle Italia”.
After publishing the initial photo, the participant waits for the official start given by the judge.
The competition time starts for everyone, both online and offline, from the official start given by the judge with the phrase “Go-go-go”.
For offline participants, an official minimum time of 2 hours and 30 minutes applies. If the puzzle is completed and submitted before 2 hours and 30 minutes, the official time will still be recorded as 2 hours and 30 minutes. If several offline participants submit below this limit, they will be considered tied.
Online Mode
The participant completes the puzzle while connected via videoconference.
The camera must be pointed at the puzzle and the work area must remain visible according to the judge’s instructions.
The online participant may open the box and start only after the official start given by the judge: “Go-go-go”.
In online mode, the minimum time of 2 hours and 30 minutes does not apply.
Puzzle Submission
When the puzzle is completed, all participants, both online and offline, must immediately publish the photo of the finished puzzle in the Telegram group “Puzzle Italia”.
The publication time of the photo on Telegram determines the official time and therefore the ranking.
If the participant uses a nickname or a name that is not recognizable on Telegram, they must also write their first and last name in the photo message.
Online and offline participants compete in the same tournament ranking and in the same overall Championship ranking. Points from the various tournaments are added together for the final ranking.
